Mission Statement |

| The primary mission of the Kings County
ARES ® is to work in
conjunction with the New York City District ARES ® during times of
emergency, providing emergency communications for our served agencies
(Red Cross, Salvation Army, SKYWARN). |

| To further this goal the
Kings County ARES© : |
- Will provide communications drills
throughout the year to enable it’s members to test their deployment
and communications capabilities for portable field operations.
|
- Will provide communications services to
community organizations for special events such as parades,
walk-a-thons, bike-a-thons, foot races, bicycle races, etc.,
whenever appropriate for the purpose of training and the enhancement
of its members communications skills
|
- The county leadership will strive to
establish and maintain an effective working relationship between
itself and the other four counties that comprise New York City
District.
|
- Will establish and constantly improve
efficient procedures for contacting members under emergency
conditions and for assigning them to critical locations.
|
- Will strive to
publicize ARES ®
activities in order to obtain more public and government awareness
of and support for the group and its capabilities.
|
- New members will be sought by in order to
maintain and expand our necessary capabilities.
